Hi Would someone who has access to the Queensland births on CD or Microfiche have a look for a record please? I have been trying for ages to find the birth on the online index of Edward Robert KEENE who was born in Qld on 4/4/1900 but have been unsuccessful. Yesterday I decided to just enter the exact date of birth (which I have never done before) and do a search. I soon found out you have to also enter one name so put in his first given name of Edward and up came the record. On the birth index his name is Edward Robert James HEINSKEENE. I have known for a while that Edward’s father is Charles Hines KEENE. The name Hines is an old family name from way back and is also used as a given name. I now know why I could never find the birth of Edward Robert KEENE. Is this a mistake on the online birth index or is it also the same on his original record in the birth register? I would like to check the birth on the CD/Microfiche to see what his surname is there. Thank you Ian Kelly Sandstone Point Queensland
