    3. Dear Listers I had chance today to read parts of a Handy Note book on English research for newbie's that was published by my local FHS in 2007. What an eye opener it was on how 'things' use to be. The change in the way records can be accessed and the format of those is phenomenal You just dont notice it when changes happen gradually ........... Was a paragraph on using the GRD books, another on the wonderful web site of www.1837.com , divorce record access, 1901 census can now be search , lots of refs to various sets of microfiche and census CDs for the UK . How to get the best results from the IGI ............ etc etc. Anything digitised was still a glint in its mother eye ! Same for Ancestrys public trees !! Will need to be completely re written. I wonder what do the next 7 years hold ? Bye MargM List Admin
