Morning Chris I have been able to find Ronald & Marie living at Macknade in 1959. He was a labourer and Marie was home duties. Just in case you don't know Macknade is a small township outside of Ingham. The Anglican church wall that you mentioned is for the placement of ashes at the New Ingham Cemetery. As I am from Ingham originally this name does ring a bell and will ask my older family members if they remember anything. Hope this helps a little and will let you know if I can find out anything. I cannot find an obituary for them.  I have found a death registration for a Marie Jean SMITH on the Historical Index in 1981, with her being given as the daughter of Henry William Phillip MOORE and Irene Isabelle LEESON. I have ordered the certificate in case it is the correct one. It just seems to be strange that there is no source available backing up any of the information provided. He moved away from the Lockyer and Toowoomba where the majority of the Kapernick/Smith descendants are located, and there has been little contact between the families. My mum seems to think that Ron left his wife, so maybe they don't even know when he died? Other family members (brother and sister) know he died, but cannot remember "when". Does anyone else have any information on Ronald Keith SMITH and his wife Marie Jean nee MOORE? Can anyone else verify any of this information?
