Thank you Whilst not a descendants of that MADDEN, I have a few names of their descendants to separate them from my MADDEN clan from Doon, who settled int he same area. I know that John MADDEN (1818-1859) is buried in Ipswich He arrived with his wife and family on 23 July 1852 on the Argyle from Tipperary His wife, Ellen KEOGH (1818-1879) is buried in Laidley Ellen was the only child born in Australia, the youngest of (at least) 8 children. Some of the various spellings include MADDIN - which may be a transcript error for the E. Good luck with your search - I trust Ellen will show you her path!!
