Hi My sister went to get my grandfathers Death certificate. He died in 1974. She was told that she was unable to access it until he has been dead for 50 years. His children etc can purchase it in the meantime. The problem is that all of the earlier generations have passed on and as grandchildren we are the next generation. Is this true? Vicki
