    3. Hi Vicki, I understand your frustration. I am in the same situation with my great grandmother, and am waiting for the 1911 census from england to be released. Her marriage certificate did not help me either! Gee, your James Doyle and Mary Jane Reed certainly had a host of children! I checked their births to see if any of them had an unusual name, which may have been James mother's maiden name, no luck there. It is possible that James was born somewhere else, even another country, or on board a ship. I have found a lot of people back then were born somewhere, then moved when they were infants, and raised elsewhere, and they always thought that is where they were born. Having said all that - are there any other clues on the marriage certificate.......like....witnesses? What was James occupation when he married? Is his father's occupation listed? I am still checking all the sources I have here at home, and will let you know if I find anything or not. 3. Thanks Wendy. All the marriage certificate says that James Doyle was born in Toowoomba and married aged 17 years. He was a labourer, as was his father John Doyle. Mary Jane Reed was 21 years when married and was born in Blackall. Her father James Reed was a selector/carrier (not sure what that means) and lived in Springsure. The witnesses on the cert are William Alexander Horsfeld/t and Mary Ellen Horsfeld/t Vicki -----Original Message----- From: aus-qld-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-qld-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Wendy Bloomfield Sent: Tuesday, 16 December 2008 10:03 p.m. To: aus-qld@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [AUS-QLD] James DOYLE Hi Vicki, I understand your frustration.
