Hi Barbara, Gay, Jan, Janet, Jenelle and Maurie Alas, the family of Henry James EARLY is not mine. You have done so much work that I'm tempted to adopt them! My tribe were definitely Irish, according to Brit Army records. Frustratingly, the name EARLY (and numerous variants) is both English and Irish, with no historical connection. What started my QLD quest was finding the War Grave of Albert Francis EARLY with parents from Queensland. Albert, Francis, Frances and Lillian were popular names in my family, so naturally, I hoped....... Jan, your Frances Lillian EARLY really got me revved up. My g-grandfather was Francis EARLY (Irish) married to Lillian KING (Irish) One of their sons was Francis Frederick, who named one of his daughters Lillian Frances EARLY. Just one of those strange genealogical quirks, unfortunately. Thanks everyone, for your generosity. I'll go pester the NSW list. Think I've found a couple of possibles buried near Sydney. Best wishes Frank South Africa
Never Mind Frank ... it was worth asking as you just never know when someone will connect Jan. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frank Lyn" <franklyn@tiscali.co.za> To: <aus-qld@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, December 06, 2008 4:23 PM Subject: [AUS-QLD] Grave in PNG > Hi Barbara, Gay, Jan, Janet, Jenelle and Maurie > > Alas, the family of Henry James EARLY is not mine.
