I may have tracked down the marriage of James Reed and Elizabeth Bend marrying in NSW in 1856. Also unconfirmed is James being born in Manchester, Eng, 1836 and Elizabeth being born on Norfolk Island about 1839. I have also been told that James' parents settled at Bourke, NSW. If you got Eliza's death certificate, at least it would say if James was still alive or not. His son John Thomas is mentioned on the headstone, who died 16.2.1880, aged 1, but he is buried "Red Bank", Bourke. Wonder if this is James father. Forgot about the REEDS. James REED, died 10.1.1898, aged 88 & Frances, died 5.4.1895, aged 82, both buried Church of England Section, Bourke Cemetery. I have that they married in England in 1830 & Frances died at the home of her son-in-law M. BRENNAN, Oxley St. Bourke.
