Hi folk, I'm looking for anyone who might be related or know about a former friend, Noel FrederickBlack, formerly of Townsville, Queensland. Noel was an engineer with the NZ Shipping Co. in the early 60s through to the 1970s. At the time we met in Nelson, NZ in the mid 1960s he was a 3rd Engineer. He went on to get his Chief's Ticket and after the NZ Shipping Co was taken over by P&O he was posted to an oil tanker and we lost touch with him. Noel used to take his annual leave when his ship came to either Aust or NZ and he'd fly over to Sydney to catch up with family and friends. Cheers, Ainslie

Hi Ainslie, The Ryerson Index lists 2 death notices for a Noel Frederick BLACK published in the Sydney Morning Herald One who died 31 JUL 2001 aged 76 late of Blakehurst death notice published 01 Aug 2001 and one who died 14 JUL 1987 death notice published 18 JUL 1987. There was also a death notice for the Noel Frederick BLACK who died 14 JULY 1987 published in the Townsville Bulletin 08 Aug 1987.
