Now to find their immigration details. They must have arrived between 1866 and 1871. Certificates indicate 1866, but think it might have been a bit later. James Henery (sic) SHEEHAN, Store Assistant & Sophia, Home Duties, Greengate Hotel, Adavale. George SHEEHAN, Groom, Adavale. Charles Edward SHEEHAN, Station Hand, Comongin Station, Quilpie. William Herbert SHEEHAN, Labourer, Adavale. Catherine CONNOLLY, died 31.12.1941 (1941/B055011), daughter of William SHEEHAN & Ann HAGUE. James Herbert married Sophia HASTED & their son Charles Edward, born Blackall 16.10.1894 & died 7.9.1951. A.C.M.F. Q223065 Private, 21st Battalion. Buried Old section, Blackall Cemetery. Another son of James & Sophia, George, died 4.1.1924 (1924/000274). There is a George SHEEHAN, buried at Quilpie, but no death date in the register, nor headstone. I have the GSQ publication of the Index to the Blackall Cemetery Burial Register and I can confirm that the only SHEEHAN entries are for Ann in 1888, Patrick Sanders in 1936, Patrick Saunders in 1951 and William in 1904.
