Hi everyone, Is anyone related/researching this man and other ORR family members in South Brisbane in the 1850/60s on? A cousin is trying to tie this family in with William and John ORR from Rockhampton, and I've been unable to find anything much about them, just notices in newspapers that don't give me any clues as to who belongs to who? It seems that cousins, of William ORR (from Rockhampton) ,were trying to make contact with him in Victoria, and were then coming to South Brisbane, it would be great to know if the James and other family members were related:- "Mr.William Orr- If this should meet the eye of the above party(or any of his family),formaly of Bourtra Hill,Ayrshire, Scotland,they will hear from their two Cousins, John And James Orr, who are now in Melbourne,and may be heard of at McLeans,Bucks Head Hotel,Little Lonsdale Street,West; or address by letter to John Orr, South Brisbane, Morton Bay, New South Wales" How would I go about finding John and James ORR at South Brisbane in 1854 on? Hi Jan, William ORR snr was married to Jane HUNTER in Scotland, his parent's were James ORR and Jean GALT. He settled in Rockhampton about 1860, died in 1881. He had a sons William, James, Thomas, John and George. All were in Qld for periods.
