Hi everyone, I wonder if any of these names ring a bell, they are signatories to an application by my g/g.father, John Richardson McWilliam, to be admitted to the Bar, signed at Gympie in 1870. It's a letter to the Board of Examiners of the Supreme court of Qld. The names are :- Wm. MUNRO; D.MULLIGAN; ?james STEWART; D. MAITLAND; and O. Macdonald PATERSON. I thought these names might lead me some other source of finding out where John was living in Gympie, and just what he was up to there, he didn't stay long, he was certainly there in Jan. 1870, and in NSW at Hill End in 1874. Thanks for any hints that you might have. I have tried newspapers at the S.Lib, but didn't find anything. Cheers, Jill
