No sign of your man on the 1870 - 1899 Qld Electoral Rolls, but he would have to qualify to be on the roll at that time. John Richardson McWILLIAM had to at least have been a permanent resident of six months. Janet
Thanks Janet for looking this up. John had been in Qld since 1861, I think it's him arriving on the "Janet Dickson". He was married in Rocky in 1866, and had a successful business there. Can't think why he wouldn't be on the roll in the '70's, he was a very community minded fellow. Cheers, Jill
