    3. June, maybe the Catholic Church in Rockhampton would be able to help you, have you checked for the cemetery online or the Central Queensland family History Association for anything... 3. There would certainly be a headstone and more than likely will have the name Sr. Mary Leonard/Sr. M. Leonard [Surname]. One of the Orders, and I think it was Mercy (says she of the frizzled brain cells), always took the religious name of Mary Something. Each order generally had a sizeable plot in a cemetery where all of their sisters were interred together, and in a large cemetery, you will often find the plots grouped together. Might I suggest that you locate (google perhaps) the Sisters of Mercy and find the address of their Mother House in Queensland. Write to the Archivist asking for information on Sr Mary Leonard, enclosing a small donation (I have no idea what a 'small' donation is, but it will be appreciated for photocopying, postage, time, etc.) You might also like to check Electoral Rolls - nuns were enrolled under their own names but the occupation and address is a giveaway - (often) Teacher, St. Whosit's Convent. Cheers Barbara

    3. Hi June, Was Sr. M. Leonard a Moylan? And, yes, it was the Sisters of Mercy who were known as Sr. M. .... Have a look at http://www.toowongwest.org.au/sister_m_hedwige_schlecht.htm http://parishes.bne.catholic.net.au/toowong/StIgnatius/Article4.htm and http://mayfldsc.mn.catholic.edu.au/history.pdf Barbara
