James WALKER aka James BROUGHTON was born in Surrey, UK about the year 1891. It is believed that he migrated to Australia about 1911 and took up residence somewhere in Queensland. He later became a Merchant Seaman and served on several ships in Australia and overseas. I am trying to ascertain if there any Subscriber who may have personal information on him that can help me out. I'm not particularly interested in his ship movements because I have most of that information from the National Archives. Thanks in anticipation, Jim
Jim Do you have any clues on wife or family or town in Qld he might have lived in or occupation while living there? It's just that James WALKER is a very common name and it's hard to distinguish one from another in the records. There are no James BROUGHTON in the 1913 or 1922 electoral roll so it doesn't look like he was using that name at the time.
