I just down loaded a VIC marriage cert as was the only way to answer the question of just where was the groom born ? Ipswich Qld, was the answer which makes sense with what I know of this family . I just check the on line Qld births as neither on the CD version and neither he or his sister are listed . I know of a couple of missing death registrations in NSW records but havent come across any AWOLs in Qld records before The 2 missing refs are Telford Robert HODKINSON b 1911 and his sister Phyllis May , children of John Albert & Adelaide Louisa HODKINSON nee MORTERS who m in Rockhampton 19 Oct 1907 . Phyllis May possibly b in Rocky but no record At sometime before c 1918 this family moved to Melbourne and c 1920 changed their surname to JONES ??? I wondered if anyone else has come across births not registered ?
