Hello List, Thankyou to all the people who have helped me with any information regarding Henry MUSGRAVE and his family. I have found out quite a lot about him, except his death. Henry MUSGRAVE b.1862, (son of Henry MUSGRAVE d.1877 Buried in Toowong Cemetery Brisbane and Julia RYNG Musgrave d.1891). m. Kate Ide McELROY ,b.1861, daughter of Peter McELROY and Catherine SMITH Kate d. 1891, aged 30 and is buried in Bundaberg Catholic Cemetery with daughter Vera Lucy who died in 1885. Children 1. Vera Lucy Musgrave b.1884 2. Herbert Cecil Musgrave b.1885 3. Alice Muriel Musgrave b.1887 4. Irene Ethel Musgrave b.1888 5 Gertrude Ide Musgrave, b.1890, m. Wylie Hardwick 1923, died 1983 buried in Toowoomba. Gertrude Hardwick told her grandchildren, that there were 2 fires. First one in Bundaberg where no one was hurt, which I have found in a newspaper report and a second fire in which her parents perished, and that she and her siblings were put into an orphanage but not sure of the date. Gertrude was very frightened of fires . It was the 2nd unknown Hotel fire that caused the parents death. This is my stumbling block as I cannot find any information about Henry perishing in a fire or an inquest into any fires. Kate Musgrave Henrys wife, died in 1892 and Henry married a 2nd time to Catherine O'REILLY in 1896. Their daughter, Catherine, died the same year. I have no information about mother Catherine's death. Henry Musgave is then found in 1914 Electroll Roll in Wolfram, near Chillagoe, Nth Qld, in a Hotel with the leasee known as Jane Musgrave, his wife. Again no marriage found to Jane. The last information I have found is a grave in Cairns Cemetery for a Henry MUSGRAVE aged 67, who according to his birthdate, this must be 1929 also another baby Musgrave aged 0 but no Jane Musgrave. If anyone on the list has some connection to this family or has access to any information about Henry and his wifes death, please contact me. It would clear up this mystery once and for all.
