    3. I think that I have previously asked this question with no luck so I will give it another go now. An ancestor Francis Nicholson died in 1914 probably in NSW and probably in Sydney. I have looked at the NSW Indexes with no luck. There is an inscription on the family grave in Townsville stating that he died in 1914, but again there it nothing on the Qld Indexes. After 1889 the family name changed to Nicholls/Nichols. Can anyone suggest a course of action? I know that there are many very clever people out there who may be able to help. Dennis Schinkel

Dennis, do you have any certificates of any other family members that may mention him, go through the newspapers online through http://ndpbeta.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/home maybe there are funeral notices for family members and also check the electoral rolls for him. Check the www.familysearch.org or www.rootsweb.com click world global connect page.
