Hi Jenelle, Well the family I am looking for are all deceased but the births are after the 100 years rule and the death records are after the cut off as well. So I know it is outside the privacy act but it is frustrating when you know the individuals are already departed. I will try all the avenues that everyone has suggested and what I can't get will have to be left. I only asked about the librarian as I was not sure what they could provide. I will read the site and use. Thanks again Erin (QLD in UK) -----Original Message----- From: aus-qld-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-qld-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Jenelle McCarrick Sent: 23 September 2009 21:30 To: aus-qld@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [AUS-QLD] Queensland Births after 1914 - Any tricks to finding? Erin, google up gould genealogy click queensland and see what you can buy or just google the years of electoral rolls. On nominal rolls, at www.ww2roll.gov.au the birth is given, but they did lie... also check the National archives of Australia click record search and search for war records there... You could always put a letter to the editor I think the Ayr Advocate is still printed, Charters Towers Miner is and so is the Townsville Bulletin. You are asking for living details which is against the privacy act... The telephone directory is on line for Telstra at www.whitepages.com.au Jenelle. -----
