An ancestor Francis Nicholson died in 1914 probably in NSW and probably in Sydney. I have looked at the NSW Indexes with no luck. There is an inscription on the family grave in Townsville stating that he died in 1914, but again there it nothing on the Qld Indexes. After 1889 the family name changed to Nicholls/Nichols. Can anyone suggest a course of action? I know that there are many very clever people out there who may be able to help.
