    3. Elaine, Thanks again. I have Margaret's death date and place. Abraham John died Townsville 1936. Seems he and his son John Abraham fond of confusing me by swapping their names around at will!. I will have to lash out buy certificates and hope the detail tells more of the story. You are right. I found the Burdekin Burials site yesterday by chance - just googling - sometimes that just happens! Residence Ayre,age 72,Catholic, burial Ayre grave number 1604, Date of burial 24/09/1941.I think you are going to have to get one or death certificates to get any answers. When in the library tomorrow I'll have another look as the deaths on fiche go to 1964. Elaine

    3. Erin, use the State library of Queensland Ask a librarian to see if there were any funeral notices. Ayr has a historical society, just google it for an address.
