Hello List, I have found burials for Michael Joseph BURKE aged 82 in 1942 and Kate BURKE aged 97 in 1966. The burial records state they were born in Ipswich. Kate is married to Michael Burke as Kate PHILLIPS in 1885 Qld. I have found the birth for Michael, 24 Apr 1860, but I cannot find a birth for Kate / Catherine Phillips around 1869. She is also named as Catherine on the Electoral rolls. She died in 1966 so I can't look in the death index to see who her parents were, I guess my only option is to get the marriage certificate, hoping the parents are named on it. If anyone can make a connection to this BURKE family, they had 8 children, Honora ( Norah) 1887, Mary Frances (Mollie)1889, Cathleen 1891, Isabella (Cissie) 1893, James Thomas 1895, Ileen May 1903, Philomena 1905 and Michael Gabriel 1912. Michael's parents are Patrick BURKE and Mary HOARE ( Hore, Hoar) they married in Qld in 1859. Any help will be appreciated. Regards Wayneann Moody
