Joan, Not sure if this is relevent, but there is a William James McEVOY, died 21.10.1953, aged 72, son of James & Margaret, buried Bingara Cemetery, NSW. James & Margaret are also buried there. There are only 2 William McEVOY'S in the QLD deaths to 1964. William McEVOY, died 25.3.1925 (1925/001821), son of William McEVOY & Bridget McKENNA. William McEVOY, died Brisbane 10.8.1962 (1962/B053088), no parents names. This William isn't listed on the Brisbane City council site, so may have been cremated.
