    3. Yes, that's where I remember it too. I used to walk past it on my way to school but never paid it much attention I'm afraid. But I agree that at least part of it (probably the bit with the sign) was at the back of the PA Hospital sort of sandwiched between it and the Dutton Park railway station.     3. Hello Lorrae, The Brisbane Courier dated Saturday 21 December 1895 says that the Konoowarra arrived in Brisbane on 20th December from Rockhampton, via Maryborough. Your A. Schaper is not mentioned as a passenger, but it does say there were 20 in steerage, and he could be one of those, but I would think it unlikely that anyone would spend part of the trip in steerage, and then change over and continue the trip as a listed passenger. Mornign all "Mrs Mary Peters - Midwife in Cadargo (in the Gayndah district) in 1862, and again in Walloon near Ipswich in 1871" I have birth certificates for siblings, one born in 1862 near Gayndah and the other in 1871 near Ipswich. On both ocassions, Mrs Mary Peters was the midwife. I cannot locate any relatives by this name, and was wondering if there was any other way to look up a name that would show me who else was in her household. Perhaps her husband was also a stockman, same as the father in my family. Wayneann, I phoned the Births Deaths and Marriages ( a contact that I have that works there) and I asked her to look up the Marriage Certificate.. for the parents of Kate.. so that is how I found that info out... they say its not what you know its who you know these days...
