Hi Lorrae, I am looking in the mid to late 1800s.. My Mary CAHILL arrived in Qld aboard the ship "GLAMIS" in 1877... She may be a sibling to Kathy's Henry Thomas CAHILL. What CAHILL names do you have, and their origins and names of their parents.. Hopefully we might be able to make a connection. cheers Gay ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lorrae" <lorrae@uqconnect.net> To: <aus-qld@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 19, 2009 11:34 AM Subject: Re: [AUS-QLD] CAHILL families 1920+ era > Hi Gay and Kathy > > What time periods - I have these names in my database but could not link > direct. > A quick lookup of marriages found: > 1920/C733 Greenslade Walter Francis Gibbs Evelyn Ivy > 1923/C543 Greenslade Herbert Charles Gibbs Harriet Edith > > Thus you are looking in the early-mid 1900's and my names in the 1800's > are > too early. > > > > Lorrae > Glenore Grove Qld 4342 > http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=helmrich

Dear Listers I am seeking information about my great grandparents Bernard and Annie CONNOR (nee HANRAHAN) and their family. I believe that Bernard CONNOR was born at Athboy, County Meath, Ireland in 1842, and migrated to Australia in the 1860s. On 5 July 1873, he married Annie HANRAHAN at Springsure, near Emerald, Queensland (Qld. Reg: 1873/710). (Bernard's occupation is given as 'constable'.) They had at least nine children between 1873 and 1891, all of whom appear to have grown up at Rockhampton. Bernard died at Rockhampton on 12 August 1925. I'd love to hear from anyone who has knowledge of this famly Don Bradmore Maldon, Victoria djb100@bigpond.com

Lillian Can you please provide more information on what you already know and don't know about this John Henry Adams, as it seems a couple of us have now wasted our time repeating research you have already done, which doesn't help you and burns goodwill into the bargain. Can you provide the most accurate information you have on the birth date, place and parents. Also, despite being born in Vic, you are asking about Qld marriages. Do you have some information that suggests he came to Queensland? If so, what is that information as it may be useful in tracking down which man and which marriage? Kerry
Hi Lillian I checked on on-line marriages http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/829.htm 1913/B13608 Yunker Gertrude Adams John Henry Thus, John Henry Adams married Gertrude YUNKER in 1913..
