    1. [AUS-QLD] Andrew McCULLOUGH
    2. Greg
    3. Andrew McCULLOUGH was born in Brisbane on 29 March 1875 and his parents were Andrew McCULLOUGH and Sarah PANTLAND. On 13 March 1896 he married Jessie Phoebe BULLPITT. On 5 November 1918 Jessie married Walter Edward KIERNAN and Jessie died in CHILLAGOE on 7 February 1926. What happened to Andrew? The death of an Andrew in 1940 is not the correct one, but I would be interested in hearing from anyone who may know something about Andrew's demise. 3. Have you ever tried looking for Mary Kelly who married James Felmingham in Dublin Ireland? I haven't even tried yet. James was in the British Army. I cannot find his widow in UK census after he died in 1836. They are my direct ancestors. 3. Hi Laraine I don't have any information on Catherine, but was wondering if you have any further details on James Alexander Smith? I am always looking for references to my Smith family (as you can imagine), and have a James Smith born 1847 (father Alexander, mother Helen/Ellen) who I have not been able to find further details for. There is also his cousin James Smith (father Robert, mother Jessie) who might possibly have come to Australia. 3. Thank you to all the listers who helped me with their input as to the grave in Lutwyche cemetery where my g uncle Alexander Stuart was buried together with a baby Wilford Joseph O'Sullivan. I received a reply today from Brisbane Council stating that Alexander was buried in a Pauper's grave and that it appears the baby was no relation but buried in the same pauper's grave. One lister had mentioned this to me also. Thank you all for your help. Joan Joan sometimes the still born babies were put in graves that were opened at the time, at the foot of perhaps a woman who died in child birth, I have found an entry for one of my uncle's wee babes in a grave with a lot of still-born babies, (common grave).. Jenelle. Many thanks Greg, I wonder if Alexander was the father?? Kind regards Joan in NSW Wilford Joseph O'SULLIVAN died 25/11/1904 1904/001439 no father and mother Isabella O'SULLIVAN, it was a country registration, not Brisbane Greg DAVIS

    3. Hi Everyone Please disregard my last request. Since posting it, I discovered an email address fot the cemetery and sent them a message. They have sent me a reply and I know that there is no headstone and their records from the 1936 time frame are minimal. I did learn that the hospital paid his £1 burial fee which suggests to e that he had no local family or money. I also learned the name of the funeral home and have sent them an email. 3. Thanks to the help of the kind people on this list I now know quite a bit about my grandfather. I feel that the John William PRESCOTT who died in 1936 is most likely my grandfather even though the age is off by 14 years (based on cemetery information). I have now sent for a copy of the death certificate to try to confirm this. I do have another request. If someone is in the Rockhampton area and is visiting North Rockhampton cemetery, would you please have a look at Compartment 1 Section 6 Grave 9, which is where John William is buried. I am interested in whether there is a headstone, although I suspect there won't be. If there is a headstone I would like to know what it says and ideally to have a photograph. Perhaps it would also be possible to ask the cemetery officials if they have any more information in their files. Again, I am not asking for anyone to go out of their way to do this, just if someone happens to be there. Thanks for all your help. Vern
