    1. [AUS-QLD] Outback Story
    2. Judy Webster
    3. 'Outback Story' is based on interviews with a man who was born in south-west Queensland in 1919. He begins by talking about his father, who was a horse-breaker for Cobb and Co. before acquiring, by ballot, a grazing property south of Cunnamulla. The story (to be published in stages) describes life there in the 1920s: daily routines, the family home and its contents, childhood, education, health and home remedies, social events, community attitudes, etc. Later interviews cover topics such as the Great Depression, the war years, and changes in domestic technology from the 1920s to the 1990s. 'Outback Story' is on http://outback-story.blogspot.com. You can subscribe to an RSS feed if you want to follow the story as it unfolds.
