    3. Hi listers, I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Back in the 1980s I was a member of a writing club in Rocky. I think a Mrs MacDonald was its chief. They had a competition, for which I wrote a short story based on my great great aunts, Bridget,Norah, Ann, Kate and Mary Cunneen who came to Aus from Ireland in the 1880s. My story was published with others, in paperback form, by the writers' club. I have since lost my copy. Does anyone know of this association or where I might find a copy of the book? I can't even remember its title!!!!!!!! TIA Jeanette Hartley, Mareeba

    1. [AUS-QLD] Ryerson Indexers wanted for Queensland Papers
    2. John Graham
    3. The Ryerson Index currently has vacancies for indexers to cover many Queensland papers. We prefer indexers who have access to the printed version of their paper. In a pinch it is possible to index from a newspaper website, but we have identified problems with some websites whereby not all printed notices appear on the website, hence our preference for the printed source. If you are interested, please visit www.ryersonindex.org and click on the "Newspaper Coverage" link. Scroll down to the "Queensland" section and check your paper by clicking on the link, and then clicking on the "Details of Dates Indexed" link. If the dates shown are not up-to-date (to within the past month or so), then you can make a difference by indexing the paper! And if your local newspaper is not included on the list, then we certainly want you! We supply the indexing software and a comprehensive training course. All we ask in return is a few minutes of your time each day, or week, or whenever you can spare it, to index the notices. Please contact us via the "Contact Ryerson Index" link on the front page of the website if you wish to become an indexer. For those of you reading this but with no access to a paper we want to index, don't despair - we have scanned copies of papers available which you can download, and they can be indexed from anywhere in the world. So please contact us! John Graham President, Ryerson Index Inc

    3. Hi I'm doing research into the above Stephen Pavlicevic (many variants to this name) Stephen lived on a property in Goondiwindi QLD Stephen was born in Sofala NSW in 1883 the son of Nicholas PALICEVIC an immigrant from Croatia and Mary J. DEVLIN. I'm not sure when Stephen moved to Qld, but he did die there from what I am told. We are also trying to find information on a relative living with him a Patty SMITH (perhaps James Patrick SMITH). If there would be anything on the electoral rolls for either Stephen or nephew? Patty/Patrick/James Patrick Smith that would be great. Perhaps death notice/obituary for Stephen P. Any help much appreciate. Kind regards Dianna in Sydney.
