    3. Hello List, Is anyone else researching this man or his family? I would especially like to discover when he left NSW and when he arrived in Tasmania. Any help appreciated. Barbara Corrigan (Canberra ACT, Australia).

    3. HI Barbara, Someone has claimed him on my website although I have not checked to see if that email address is still current. It appears as though Richard was transported to VDL from PJ in 1806 although I can nothing that states exactly when that happened. The next record of him is in 1811 when he was given a land grant in VDL and also stating that his secondary term had expired. 3. That subject heading should, of course read Atlas not Atlass and more especially Atlas I (1). It was the first voyage of this transport to arrive in PJ. Another transport of the same name (Atlas II) arrived a few months later in October 1802.
