Hello Lesley and Warren, Many thanks for your replies. Sorry, this was my careless mistake- William Allen arrived Australia 1852 "Castilian". He was listed in the NSW Gaol Description and Entrance Books,1818-1930 in 1872 at Goulburn. Cheers Judy
Hi Judy The Castilian that arrived in Sydney in 1852 was an immigrants ship, not a convict ship. Search the oldnewspapers on Trove and you will find William listed; he came free. cheers Grahame On 08/08/2013, at 11:25 AM, Judy wrote: > Hello Lesley and Warren, > Many thanks for your replies.
