Good afternoon All, I descend from the convict Denis Hogan, through his son John, and have acquired information on that line, and now I am trying to trace the family of John's brother James Hogan who married in Newcastle to Mary Jackson in 1867. If I am on the right track, all James and Mary Hogan's children were born around Rylstone on the Central Tablelands between 1866 and 1875. Is there anyone one out there who has links to this family. Elizabeth Walker nee Hogan.
Elizabeth, I did not know that Denis had a brother in Oz. was he a convict? There might be a newspaper report of a trial and I could check that out here. It might yield more information than the report of Denis' Regards Gerry in Autumnal Dublin Sent from phone On 10 Sep 2013, at 08:29, Elizabeth Walker <lizrose@tpg.com.au> wrote: > Good afternoon All, > > I descend from the convict Denis Hogan, through his son John, and have > acquired information on that line, and now I am trying to trace the > family of John's brother James Hogan who married in Newcastle to Mary > Jackson in 1867. > > If I am on the right track, all James and Mary Hogan's children were > born around Rylstone on the Central Tablelands between 1866 and 1875. > Is there anyone one out there who has links to this family. > > Elizabeth Walker nee Hogan. > > > > > ---------------------- > To send a message to the Port Jackson Convicts List, send an email to > AUS-PT-JACKSON-CONVICTS@rootsweb.com > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-PT-JACKSON-CONVICTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
