I am still trying to determine whether the John Harris who married Rachel Skinn, daughter of convict William Skinn, is related to James Harris of Prospect, or Dr Harris of Kissing Point area. I haven't researched a lot about William Greenhalgh as he is not my ancestor so don't know much other than he was born in England in 1840 and his parents were James and Susannah. He died 4 November 1888 in Bourke NSW. William came as a free man to Australia in 1859. Re the Kennedys - I don't know of any connection with the Bilpin area, however there is quite a lot of info on Donald Kennedy senior who came in 1792. He was a pioneer of the Penrith NSW area after receiving a land grant on the Nepean River. Thanks and regards, Kerry. ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Mon, 24 Jun 2013 16:46:38 +1000 From: Kerry <k4.history@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [PJ] Heffernan and Harris To: aus-pt-jackson-convicts@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <CAGu3ZufHXkbTk7EbK+pYygx9bJLyuHpnMLb79YpM3quSoLi0kQ@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Hi Warren, Further to your below email to Glenda (I don't know if it was meant for me in reply to mine sent yesterday, see here below yours?) re the Kennedys - Donald did have a daughter Catherine b ca 1793 Sydney d 20/8/1876 Castlereagh m 30/3/1815 Patrick McCann (source Hawkesbury Pioneer Register Vol. 2 entry no. 408 page 156). I don't know if that helps you make a connection to the Catherine Kennedy you mentioned? Regards, Kerry.
