Hi Pam Can check the 1837 Muster, but my question to you is, what do you have already, as listers wont want to duplicate anything you have on hand? cheers Grahame On 30/05/2013, at 1:55 PM, Pam Dowling wrote: > Good afternoon Listers, from a freezing cold Rotorua > > Just wondering if anyone has access to Indent or other information > and could lookup details for these three convicts for me please: > > Moran, Michael1832Eliza 11 (4) > Moran, Patrick1832Eliza 11 (4) > Moran, John1836Captain Cook (3) > > Many thanks > Pam > > An Aussie transported to Rotorua, NZ > > ---------------------- > To send a message to the Port Jackson Convicts List, send an email to > AUS-PT-JACKSON-CONVICTS@rootsweb.com > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-PT-JACKSON-CONVICTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Hi Graham, Thanks you for your reply and apologies for lack of detail in my query. I'll blame my brain fade on having a face-ache from a molar extraction. :-( I don't have access to the ARK (?GRK) or many convict records except what is on State Records website and some indices, including GSV's index to indents. I do have the 1828 census CD which I've not yet checked, but would be grateful for info from the 1837 muster, thank you. I don't yet know anything else about these convicts except they were convicted in Galway which is why I'm trying to research them. I usually try to start with Indent information if possible. Our library has the index to indents on fiche, but that's all. What I'm trying to do is investigate if these MORAN convicts have connections with my several other Galway MORAN families who were not convicts and who arrived for the most part in the 1850s & 1860s. These Christian same names are all used over and over in my MORAN families. Since I posted my query, it was pointed out to me that there was also another Galway convict: Mary MORAN per John Bull 1821 so if anyone is able to help I'd be very grateful for indent or other info on her too, please. Again, apologies and thanks for taking me to task. :-) Kind regards Pam An Aussie transported to Rotorua, NZ At 08:35 a.m. 31-05-2013 +1000, Grahame Thom wrote: >Hi Pam > >Can check the 1837 Muster, but my question to you is, what do you >have already, as listers wont want to duplicate anything you have on hand? > >cheers > >Grahame > >On 30/05/2013, at 1:55 PM, Pam Dowling wrote: > > > Good afternoon Listers, from a freezing cold Rotorua > > > > Just wondering if anyone has access to Indent or other information > > and could lookup details for these three convicts for me please: > > > > Moran, Michael1832Eliza 11 (4) > > Moran, Patrick1832Eliza 11 (4) > > Moran, John1836Captain Cook (3)
