Hi all, Is there anyone out there who has information on John McMahon, b c 1801 County Clare, tried 1830 Clare, 'cow stealing', 7 years, per "Jane 1", Certificate of Freedom 23 Apr 1838? He was married to Catherine Barry in Ireland and she and their daughter came to Australia in 1838. I understand he was assigned to George Sutter of "Brucedale" at Peel. Does anyone know what happened to him after Brucedale, did he return to Ireland or stay in Australia and when and where did he die? What happened to Catherine? Regards, Charlotte
