    2. The Crabtree Family were alive and well in 1198 in Essex England - prior to that they were Vikings (wouldn't you just know it!!!!) The Irish Family started with Thomas Crabtree and his brother John who left Edinburgh in 1660 - Thomas became The Recorder for Ireland in 1665 and lived in Fishamble Street Dublin - John moved to Wicklow and Hugh Crabtree; who was the first of us in Australia, per The Anne was his/my line. Thomas was a Victualler and made 6 Wills in 6 Counties - he died in Edinburgh in 1690. I continue to search. Best wishes to everyone for 2014. 3. I pursued a family story about an inheritance and discovered it was true. Discovered my grandfather had been in a home for recalitrant boys and that my grandmother had had a baby which died that no-one knew about. Found one of the families I was researching was the wrong one! By diligent digging discovered the true facts about another family line where the wrong "facts" had always been taken for granted. Communicated with many, many wonderful people all over the world. In January 2013 started a data-base of contacts so that I can keep track of them and renew contact at regular intervals.
