Hi Michele, Thank you Michele for taking over Pt Jackson Convicts and Hawkesbury sites. I am not active on either at present as my current research is on WW2 in the Blue Mountains, but I have benefitted from both sites over the years and appreciate their value. I often refer newer family historians to them when on voluntary duty at Katoomba library. They are too valuable to lose. Sincere thanks, and undoubtably I'll become active when I finish my current project. Joan > > The news of Lesley's illness has been a shock to many of us on the Port Jackson and Hawkesbury mailing lists. We are all aware of Lesley's dedication to family history and the help she has generously given to many. At her special request, I have taken over as Administrator of both of these lists. As a tribute to Lesley Uebel, let us continue our family history research and keep both of these lists active. In regards to Lesley's website, "Claim a Convict" which is no longer accessible online, there have been discussions with her friend Coralie and her husband Colin, re future plans.
