Hi All Judith Dunn in her book of St John's Parramatta tells that Lady Fitzroy's body was exhumed at the request of her relatives in England as they did not approve of her sharing her grave with her ADC. Folklore has it that she was then placed in a zinc lined coffin and returned to England for more suitable burial. >From what I have read over the years her husband and son were both highly immoral. I think from memory that there was a paternity case involving Fitzroy and a girl from the Berrima area but am not sure about it now as my memory is fading.
