Hi Lesley and Marilyn "The 1837 General Returns of Convicts notes that he was assigned to Alexander Berry - Illawarra district." Yes this is the same Daniel Leary who is on Reel 1051 4/3686 page 76. On this list it does also give who each convict is assigned to but the writing is indistinct ...I could clearly see Illawarra but couldn't make out Alexander Berry but now knowing the name I can clearly see Alex Berry Esq. Checking Reel 699 would certainly confirm the relationship of this Daniel Leary and Mary Sullivan as husband and wife. Another suggestion is to check the "Irish Gift" Transportation Database reels at State Archives Kingswood. The Isabella 1840 was a female convict transport and when I looked at the Transportation Database reel I found that only my ggg grandmother and her daughter were aboard as free settlers whereas one of the other children a male was placed on board the King William a male convict ship leaving Dublin around the same time. Two other children remain unaccounted for. Good luck ...would be interested to know Marilyn if we have found the correct Daniel Leary. Rhonda
