    3. Russell, Were there any Smiths on the Lord Melville either 1816 or 1830?? My g gpa was born around 1830 in Sydney according to his certs but no parents known. A family story said there were convicts as his parents or gran parents. A baby was born onboard ship on arrival in Sydney Cove to convict parents. O, sorry, his name was Charles Sylvester Smith. Cheers.
