    3. Yes If we were really serious about looking after Australia, the enviroment & the planet. The aboriginals lived here for thousands of years with little impact on the enviroment. The convicts may have learnt something from the aboriginals, but nothing has been passed down to us, except a few words like 'yakka' for work. If the convicts & there minders had learnt to live with the environment instead of against it, imagine how different it all could be today. There has been lots of talk about changing Australia Day ?? Perhaps we could use Australia Day to enbrace the aboriginal culture & learn something from then. Perhaps we could start by accepting what we have & not looking for what we don't have. This is part of the white mans burden, trying to carry more then what is available. We all could live with a lot less & be a lot happier, too. The Aboriginals could not have been wrong for 40,000 years. But we have certainly got it all wrong in the last 200 years.
