Hi Michelle, According to the British Transportation Registers listed on the State Library of Queensland website he was "Convicted at Middlesex Gaol Delivery for a term of life". Have you tried looking him up on the 1828 census at your local library. That should give you more info. The NSW Births Deaths and Marriages website my give further info if you are looking for dates of the marriage or births of their children.
