What a wonderful concept, Time Travel ! If I could be transported back in time the first ' gentleman ' I would like to chat to would be my 3rd great grandfather Donald Kennedy ( Royal Admiral 1792 ) and his wife Ann Grant who came free on board the same vessel. I would ask about life in Urquhart Inverness in those so far away times, why he committed the crime that he did, and just how tough was farming life in the Colony in those early days. I would then like to ask Ann Grant about her memories of her grandfather William Grant and if he related any tales about his participation in the Battle of Culloden, his transportation to the West Indies for six years and just how did he manage to get back to Scotland ? All the unanswered questions would then be asked of all the other six direct line convicts but that would take an age to complete and I'm sure that even the Tardis doesn't have that amount of time for one traveller.
