    3. My direct Irish convicts were Patrick Conlon my GGG Grandfather arrived from Kildare Ireland on the Minivera 3 on 18 December 1819. Tried in July 1817 he was convicted of Theft and given 7 years. Unfortunately the national archive records on line do not cover these earlier years and they have no prisoner petition for Patrick Conlon. There was no local newspaper published in the area at this time to cover the trial. I would be grateful to know if there are any other records that might give information about his original crime. His parents in law were Irish Born convicts from Drogheda, Louth, Bernard and Jane Carr. Fortunately for me they were living in England when they committed their crime. Bernard arrived on the Grenada 21 Oct 1819 and Jane on the Lord Wellington on 20 Jan 1820 with their children. The couple were charge with receiving known stolen goods and both given 14 years. Both committed their crime at a different time. Karen
