Hello, Maree of Hobart, Our concerns seem removed from the Port Jackson convicts theme. In response to your posting on 7/3/09, I report that there were members of various Fogarty families including mine in Melbourne in 1866. I have emailed you about my mob plus some Melbourne Fogartys who came to Sydney from Ireland in 1839 as bounty immigrants by the ship "China". I am not aware of any Port Jackson convict in my ancestry. I will henceforth keep my remarks off the list. . Regards, Andrew Fogarty
