Good evening Lesley and Listers I would love to know more about William Marjoram, from Suffolk,b. 1816, who arrived on the "Mangles" ca 1837, with a 14 year sentence. He was known as William Marjoram until 1853, and after the death of his wife Catherine (nee Kennedy) that year, he changed his name, apparently went on to have another family, but no-one with connections to the first family seems to know what he changed his name to. It is known he had descendants as one of them contacted the family on the day of a funeral to tell them they would never find him!!! If anyone has an ancestor who gives his parents' names as Robert and Frances ( she was Frances Crow) both born and married Bredfield area Suffolk but died here, but no other info., maybe this is who I am looking for.
