    3. John, it seems to me that the history and the fate of the Sydney region Aboriginals is intertwined with that of the Port Jackson convicts. Down my own First Fleet line (two black men) there were many marriages both formal and informal into the aboriginal community. These are clearly documented in: "The Parramatta Native Institution and the Black Town: A History" Brook, J and Kohen, J l, ISBN 086840 284 2 and "The Darug and their neighbours : the traditional Aboriginal owners of the Sydney region" by James Kohen, 1993.
