Kath Your help is most appreciated. I was lucky enough to have a look at the Gundaroo book at the Ballarat Library recently and could find no reference to JOHN HAWKES. There appears to be a lot of Davis families at GUNDAROO but I have tried through the Gundaroo site to contact some DAVIS researchers but with no luck as they have changed their email addresses.
