Hi Cheryl Does the marriage document state that he married with permission of the Governor or similar words. As I advised a few weeks ago, the Edward Wilson who arrived on the Lord Melville received a 14 year sentence in 1830. Edward who married Mary Ann Cunningham (carious spellings) did so in 1841. regards Lesley Uebel mailto:ckennedy@bigpond.net.au CLAIM A CONVICT http://users.bigpond.net.au/convicts/index.html -----Original Message----- From: aus-pt-jackson-convicts-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-pt-jackson-convicts-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Cheryl Woodward Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2009 2:18 PM To: aus-pt-jackson-convicts@rootsweb.com Subject: [PJ] Edward Wilson Hi Lesley, I've been thinking about the Edward Wilson I am researching. I decided to investigate the witnesses at the wedding. They being Isaac an Caroline Crabtree. A Isaac Crabtree Arrived via the Lord Melville in 1830. Do you think this could be an indication that the Edward I am researching is the one that arrived via the Lord Melville in 1830? Cheers Cheryl
Hi Lesley, No wording like that. By exploring or connections, trying to rule out all possiblities. It is interesting that Isaac Crabtree arrived by the same ship Lord Melville as did one of the possible Edward Wilsons. Hi Cheryl All I can suggest is that you refer back to our discussions on the list a few weeks ago. It does not look as though he was a convict still serving his sentence by 1841 regards Lesley Uebel mailto:ckennedy@bigpond.net.au CLAIM A CONVICT http://users.bigpond.net.au/convicts/index.html -----Original Message----- From: aus-pt-jackson-convicts-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-pt-jackson-convicts-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of Cheryl Woodward Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2009 6:33 PM To: aus-pt-jackson-convicts@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PJ] Edward Wilson Hi Lesley, No wording like that.
