Greetings from the West Coast of Canada: Since 1983 I have been working (off and on) to connect Stephen into a branch - any branch!!!! - of my tree. I have quite a bit of information on him and his life, like most of the original settlers of your beautiful land, was quite remarkable. LeGrove is a relatively unusual surname and Stephen comes from the same part of East London that the rest of my LeGrove family comes from so I am sure there is a connection somewhere. Just don't have the bits and pieces of paper to prove it. But the search continues and what fun it is! Also great joy to read all the postings to this wonderful list.
