    3. Have you checked how many Susan/na/h there were on the Glatton in 1803. The 1806 muster has three Susan/n/ah Roberts in the index with 4 referances, when checking the references it lists in Marsden's index two per Glatton with asterisks saying he made mistakes in the ships. In the other 1806 index they are listed as per William Pitt and Atlas 1; Living at/with Michael Burn with 2 sons and John Collins with 1 daughter respectively. The 1811 Muster lists two Susan/nah per the Glatton. I do not have the 1814 muster The 1822 Muster has Susannah Roberts FBS Glatton 7 years wife of Hugh Morrison repeated in the 1822 muster. There are 173 Susan/na/h in the 1828 census. Of the 173 Susan etc there are no Susan Roberts per Glatton There is a Susannah Rogers 56 per Glatton 1810 of Kent street who ran a lodging house with two female loggers. There is a Susannah Roberts 25 born colony catholic married to a John Roberts 27 TK catholic per Shipley 1820 dealer living at Isaac Moss publican Sydney. and Susan Miles 53 FS 1802 per Glatton 1802 protestant living with Aull family at Evan A search of marriages from 1800 to 1828 using just Susan gave 36 results for 30 marriages. Susanna gave 7 results for 6 marriages Susannah gave 125 results. Of possible interest. Susannah Smith m Ed Miles St Johns Parramatta 1803 V1803 251 147/1803 CB Susannah Miles married Simon Freebody 3A /1820 1820 2568 Susannah Roberts married William Kinnessy/Hinnesay 1812 V1812 1376 CB: V1812 227 1812 CA. Susannah Roberts married John Rogers V1815 17993A/1815 RE deaths don't forget that prior to 1856 the only deaths that were recorded were burials carried out by the parson when he remembered to record them and serving convicts deaths for the years records were kept. With Australia being a hot country pre refrigeration there was need to bury bodies quickly in the summer months. Hope this gives you something to work on Regards Elizabeth Roberts -----Original Message----- From: dianna charles [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, 29 August 2011 3:53 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [PJ] Susannah ROBERTS/ROGERS etc. Hi On the 1828 Census would it have the ship that my convict ancestor arrived on. Susannah ROGERS/ROBERTS/BYRNE is on the 1828 Census living in King St. Sydney. I'm trying to sort out the two different Susan/Susannah ROBERTS who arrived on the Glatton in 1803. I'm trying to find all marriages then deaths to the two Susannah Roberts. Hopefully I will come up with an answer. One of then the one who was tried in Middlesex was Irish and 18 when she arrived here. I believe ROBERTS may be her married name as she left a husband behind in London. So if anyone can offer some advice I would be very grateful. Kind regards Dianna
